Did you know that babies use an average of 6 to 10 diapers per day? That’s around 2,500 to 3,000 diapers in their first year! If your child is covered by TennCare or CoverKids and is under the age of two, you can now get up to 100 diapers each month at no cost. These diapers are available at participating pharmacies across Tennessee.
Here's how you can get the diapers:
1. Find a Participating Pharmacy: Go to TN.gov/TennCare/diapers to find a participating pharmacy near you.
2. Show Your Card: When you go to the pharmacy, simply show your child's pharmacy ID card. If your child is a newborn and doesn't have a card yet, you can use the parent’s pharmacy ID card or Social Security number.
3. No Prescription Needed: You don't need a prescription to get the diapers.
4. Variety of Diapers: TennCare will cover popular diaper brands like Huggies, Cuties, Pampers, and Luvs. There are also different types of diapers to meet your family's needs. For more information about the brands and types of diapers available, visit TN.gov/TennCare/diapers and call the pharmacy to make sure they are in stock.
Things to Keep in Mind:
- Your pharmacy might not have all the diapers brands or sizes in stock, so it’s a good idea to call ahead to check availability.
- TennCare will be adding more participating pharmacies over time, so make sure to check back.
- There is so no cost or copay for the diapers.
- Members can start getting the diapers on August 7, 2024.
