Substance abuse must be the primary treatment need for the adolescent (with a history of failure at less intensive substance abuse treatment programs) and/or be at risk of physical harm to self because of substance use. Square One is also a substance abuse treatment program offered at FCA. This program is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents. Group Therapy is an open-ended, 20 session curriculum program with typical treatment plans including individual and family counseling.
Eligibility Requirements
The program serves adolescent males and females between ages 13 - 18. Youth entering this level of service must have a DSM IV primary or secondary diagnosis of a substance abuse-related disorder. The adolescent must be free of psychotic or other unmanageable mental health conditions; and have an assessment upon admission. Adolescents and adults are eligible after detoxification for the Square One Intensive Outpatient Program for ages 13 - 18 and the Addiction Recovery Center if over age 19. Both are offered on our 26 acre campus in Knoxville, Tennessee although we serve clients from across the state.
