FCA’s family foster care service is designed for children and adolescents whose special needs can best be met primarily by foster parents who are trained, supervised, and supported by FCA staff, with the goal of permanency for the youth. FCA has primarily used this level of care to place a teen parent and her infant in the same home and to maintain and support her parenting role. Public school, day care, community activities and family living are inclusive for the children and adolescents.
Eligibility Requirements
Adolescents who reach eighteen and are ready for post-custodial care and are still in an educational program can qualify for continued foster care under this level.
