Healthy Families East Tennessee is an in-home visitation program that serves first-time parents. As an in-home visitation program, support and education is provided through individual, group and case management services. The program is designed to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, intervention and strengthening the family. Services are provided as needed until the child is of school age. 

Emphasis is placed on:

  • medical check-ups
  • immunizations
  • family planning
  • developmental screenings
  • early brain development and stimulation
  • school readiness

Eligibility Requirements

Available to residents of Knox, Jefferson Hamblen, Sevier, Cocke and Campbell Counties who are first time parents and teen parents.
