Project ENRICH- Fayette County

 
 
 

Project ENRICH provides direct interventions of parent education, professional training for day care centers and head start programs, community outreach, intensive in-home instruction, teen parent support, teen support and advocacy in Fayette County. This program also serves individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities.

1.Supported Parenting Group: The class is held Wednesdays:12:00-1:30pm. The program is tailored for any parent or expectant parent who is interested in learning new and effective parenting skills. 
2.Teen Supported Parenting: This group works specifically with teen parents.
3. Teen Life Skills Groups:The goal of the Life Skills group sessions is to provide all teen participants in developing strong life skills for safe and stable interpersonal relationships and to protect and empower children and families from abuse and neglect. There are two groups taking place at the alternative school and high school.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Requirements vary based on program group. Home visits are available based on parent, child, or family's level of need. 

1. Teen Supported Parenting: This is an open group
1. Must be enrolled in Fayette County School System. 
2. Must be a current student in school.
3. Teens must be an expectant or current parent.

2.Supported Parenting Group: This is an open group and requires 12 sessions for completion.
1. Must be 18 years or older. 
2. Must be residents of Fayette County.
3. Must have custody of children.
4. Be identified as at-risk for child abuse and neglect. 

3.Female Teen Life Skills Group: This a closed group and lasts throughout the semester. Students are selected by BCDD and school staff.
1. Must be enrolled in Fayette County School System. 
2. Students must be in 12th grade.
3. Students must identify as female.
4. Students must be identified as at-risk for abuse and neglect or socio-emotional concerns.

4.Teen Life Skills Group (REACH Academy): This is an open group and is facilitated throughout the school year.
1. Must be enrolled in Fayette County School System. 
2. Must be a current student in school.
3. Students must currently have an IEP, 504 Plan, or presenting with disruptive behavior. 
4. Students must be currently placed in REACH ACADEMY.
