The School Based Mental Health Liaison project is face-to-face consultation with classroom teachers to assist them with enhancing the learning environment for children with: SED, behavior problems, and/or substance use disorders. Training regarding mental health and substance abuse will be provided to teachers, school staff and students to promote a healthy learning environment. The SBMHL will provide liaison support between families and the school system.
