The Stephens Center- Friends For Families and Parent Child Connection

Friends For Families is an evidence based home visitation program. The main curriculum is The Nurturing Program. A professional staff member completes an hour visit once a week in your home. The program provides: emotional support, improved family communication, connections to community resources, helps you learn discipline without anger, helps you reach goals, improves your parent child relationship, and strengthens your entire family. Visits are available in Overton, Putnam and Cumberland Counties.
Parent-Child Connection is public parenting classes. They are held weekly in Cumberland, Overton, and Putnam Counties. All curriculum is evidence based. Classes are held in series of nine, four times a year. These classes are open to anyone that would like to attend. Topics examples: praise, empathy, discipline, establishing rules, etc. This is a great way to learn and network with other parents.
