Montgomery County Child and Family Intervention Services
The Montgomery County Child and Family Intervention program provides case management services to juveniles referred to the court system. Five classes are offered which are Prime for Life, First Offenders, Teens in Action, Active Parenting of Teens and Active Parenting 4th Edition. Classes are on a rotation schedule. Juveniles are drug screened as needed and referred to community agencies for counseling if necessary. CANS and YLS assessments are used to determine the kind of intervention needed for an individual juvenile.
Any juvenile who is referred to the juvenile court on a petition or warning citation or who as the result of a court action had their case informally adjusted or pre-trial diverted as well as walk-ins.
