Child Care Licensing

 
 
 

Child Care Licensing staff license child care centers and child care homes providing care to five or more unrelated children. Staff monitor agencies for compliance with licensing rules at least 4 times each year, investigate complaints and issue report cards. Staff is available to speak with parents about licensing requirements, report card and star quality rating system, individual agencies and choosing quality child care. Complaints can be reported to the Complaint Hotline at 1-800-462-8261.
